Dice Roller — Tips & FAQ

A fast virtual dice roller for tabletop RPGs, board games, and any situation that needs a random number.

Use d20 with Advantage

In D&D 5e, Advantage means rolling two d20s and keeping the higher result. Select d20 and choose Advantage in the mode selector.

Roll multiple dice at once

Set the count to up to 10 to roll multiple dice of the same type simultaneously — perfect for damage rolls like 3d6 or 4d8.

Coin flip is statistically fair

The coin flip uses Math.random() which produces a uniform distribution — as fair as a real coin over enough flips.

A d20 is a 20-sided die, the most iconic die in tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons. It's used for attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws. Rolling a 20 is a "natural 20" — a critical success.
When you have Advantage in D&D 5e, you roll two d20s and take the higher result. Disadvantage is the opposite — roll two and take the lower. This tool shows both results and highlights the one that counts.
The standard D&D set is d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20. The d100 (or percentile dice, two d10s) is used for some tables. This roller covers all of them, plus custom-sided dice.
Scroll to the Coin Flip section and click "Flip Coin". The tool tracks total heads and tails counts and shows your current streak — useful for probability experiments or just settling a quick decision.
